To everyone’s delight, the “son et lumière” show is back, illuminating Rouen’s Notre-Dame Cathedral all summer long with two monumental projections! It’s a real ritual for all residents as soon as summer arrives.
This year, discover an all-new show directed by stage designer Robert Wilson. A lighting specialist, he has worked with such greats as Jessye Norman and Williem Dafoe. Immerse yourself in an abstract universe where Isabelle Huppert’s voice mingles with Maya Angelou’s poetry. Not to be missed.

Métropole Rouen Normandie continues to promote its historic heritage through this light show. In recent years, the technical equipment has been renewed and replaced.
The number of spotlights has been increased from 10 to 17, providing greater legibility and a finer line of sight to ensure high visual quality. The show is a veritable voyage in images, served up by striking effects.
